PPH reffers to blood loss  of 500mls or more from GT after delivery.

2TYPES OF PPH

primary pph occurs within 24 hrs

secondary pph occurs after 24 hrs

SYMPTOMS

Present exceesive vaginal bleeding

SIGNS

may get shock when present sweating / cold extrimites / tachycardia / hypotension

pallor may present

MANAGEMENT

call for help

plently iv fluids alternate RL / NS

made ABCDE  , faster

insert catheter monitor OUTPUT

record vital signs every 15minu

assess then identify the cause of bleeding

if progress / not recovery then consider  refer
